Therapy for adults seeking support in their personal or relational lives.

Hi, my name is Kathy. I am a body-centered psychotherapist and owner of Turning Leaf Counseling, LLC, located in the Madison, Wisconsin area. I believe that mental and emotional well-being are deeply connected to the experiences that are held in the body. By addressing these connections, therapy can become a transformative tool for healing, fostering balance, and promoting overall health. My work is rooted in helping clients navigate their journey toward growth and well-being with compassion and care.
I work with adults (ages 18+) in individual psychotherapy sessions and offer both in-person and online appointments. I am an LGBTQ+ and poly-friendly therapist. I can accept both Quartz and Dean Health Insurances, as well as private pay.
I’m not able to accept new clients at this time, but I have a waitlist for individuals who would like to work together when space becomes available. If you’d like to be added, please reach out, and I’ll keep you updated. Thank you.
“I take a holistic approach to therapy, exploring both the individual and the broader systems that shape their life. As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, I support clients in understanding how stress and trauma are stored in the body and guide them through body‑centered healing. I also incorporate EMDR, a mind–body trauma processing approach that deepens integration and supports nervous‑system repair. My work blends mindfulness, insight, solution‑focused strategies, and compassion‑driven care. I collaborate with clients to identify goals and create personalized treatment plans, grounded in a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship.”
